PowerResins Surgical Guide is a biocompatible, high-precision 3D printing resin designed for the fabrication of dental surgical guides. Engineered for exceptional mechanical strength and dimensional accuracy, this translucent white resin allows for precise implant placement, enhancing surgical efficiency and predictability.
With a tensile strength of 41.1 MPa and a flexural strength of 104.2 MPa, this material provides excellent resistance to stress and deformation, ensuring guides remain rigid and stable during procedures. Its high translucency enhances visualization of the surgical field, while its low viscosity allows for smooth, high-resolution printing.
Material Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 41.1 MPa (ASTM) – Ensures high mechanical durability
- Flexural Strength: 104.2 MPa (ASTM) – Withstands stress and occlusal forces
- Flexural Modulus: 2800 MPa (ASTM) – Maintains rigidity and dimensional accuracy
- Shore Hardness: 83.6 D (ASTM) – Provides a firm, stable surgical guide structure
- Density: 1.1 g/cm³ at 23°C (ASTM) – Ensures consistent material performance
- Viscosity: 520-540 mPa.s at 23°C (DIN) – Optimized for smooth flow and precise printing
- Color: Translucent White – Enhances visibility during surgery
Post-Processing Guide:
✅ 1. Washing:
- Wash the printed part while still attached to the build plate in >90% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol for 5 minutes.
- Ensure full immersion for complete resin removal.
- Use a brush if needed, but avoid excessive washing to maintain dimensional integrity.
✅ 2. Drying:
- Use an air compressor to fully dry the model.
- Ensure all uncured resin is removed—if necessary, rewash with fresh alcohol and dry again.
✅ 3. Part Removal:
- Carefully remove the printed model from the build plate using a scraping tool.
- Handle with care to prevent damage to fine details.
✅ 4. Post-Curing:
- MEDIFIVE Curing Chamber: Cure for 20 minutes at 3rd-degree light intensity to achieve 99 MPa flexural strength.

Otoflash Curing Recommendations:
- 5000 flashes without gas to reach 104 MPa flexural strength.
Storage Recommendations:
- Store in a dark, moisture-free environment at 20-24°C.
- Shake well before use to ensure material consistency.
- For optimal printing performance, set the printer heater to 32°C or preheat resin:
- Submerge in hot water for 15-20 minutes before printing.

Air shipment: Please note that according to UPS rules liquids can only be shipped via UPS Ground shipping. Any order containing liquids will therefore be shipped with UPS Ground shipping.
