DSI Sponge is manufactured from highly purified first-extract grade gelatine collagen material. They are made to aid in providing hemostasis. They may be used either dry or moist.

These sponges are manufactured from hydrolyzed collagen (gelatine) imported from Germany. Due to its ability to absorb blood up to 40 times its weight, this pharmaceutical gelatin effectively helps the wound to stop bleeding. The sponges may be combined with antibiotics, Thrombin, and chemotherapeutics without reducing the sponge's hemostatic effect. The porous structure of the sponges stops the bleeding, absorbs the wound secretions, and effectively helps the wound to start healing. Completely absorbed in 2 weeks.
