To color the restoration, first paint chroma inhibitor as needed on pontics, one coat completely around the pontic. Then paint Incisal Enhancer in areas you wish to create a greater appearance of incisal translucency. Chroma liquids are applied next by dipping, then drying, using a heat source, to set the colors where you want them. Drying is very important. If the liquids are not dried, the effects liquids may diffuse through the crown due to existing moisture when they are applied
Effects liquids, when used as modifiers, are typically painted on the restoration as the last step in coloring. Paint your desired Effects shade where ever you desire to create or further enhance custom color distribution.
The only variation to this approach is if you choose to use our white opaquer to block out a dark abutment. Often crowns over abutments are thin and can exhibit a grayness on the facial surface. To help eliminate this problem, use the white in this fashion. Treat the restoration as you would normally. Paint the incisal, dip the crown and then dry it with a heat source. When the crown is warm and dry, let it cool so it can be handled. Then paint a single coat of white on the inside. The colorant is thin enough that it will not cause fit issues. Then sinter as usual.
