PowerResins Burn 2 – High-Performance Castable 3D Printing Resin

Superior Burnout. Precision Casting. No Post-Curing Required.

PowerResins Burn 2 is an advanced castable 3D printing resin designed for high-precision investment casting applications, including jewelry, dental frameworks, and industrial casting. Engineered for clean, ash-free burnout, Burn 2 eliminates residue, minimizing porosity and defects in final castings. With its low-viscosity formulation and optimized mechanical properties, this resin delivers sharp details, smooth surfaces, and excellent printability.

Material Properties:

  • Tensile Strength: 14.4 MPa (ASTM) – Provides durability and handling stability
  • Flexural Strength: 20.7 MPa (ASTM) – Ensures rigidity and precision during processing
  • Flexural Modulus: 472 MPa (ASTM) – Maintains shape accuracy
  • Shore Hardness: 70.5 D (ASTM) – Balances toughness with easy handling
  • Density: 1.08 g/cm³ at 23°C (ASTM) – Optimized for smooth printing and fine detailing
  • Viscosity: 490-510 mPa.s at 23°C (DIN) – Ensures smooth flow and reliable performance
  • Color: Green – Enhances contrast for fine detail visibility

Post-Processing Guide:

1. Washing:

  • After printing, wash the part while still attached to the build plate in >90% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol for 5 minutes.
  • Use a brush for removing excess resin if needed.
  • Avoid over-washing to prevent dimensional inaccuracies.

2. Drying:

  • Use an air compressor to completely dry the washed part.
  • Ensure no uncured resin remains—if needed, rewash with fresh alcohol and dry again.

3. Part Removal:

  • Carefully remove the printed part from the build plate using a scraping tool.
  • Handle with care to avoid damage.

4. Post-Curing:

  • No UV curing required! Enjoy a seamless casting process with direct burnout compatibility.

Storage Recommendations:

  • Store in a dark, moisture-free place at room temperature (20-24°C).
  • Shake well before use to ensure uniform material consistency.
  • For optimal printing performance, set the printer heater to 32°C, or preheat the resin:
    • Microwave for 18 seconds OR
    • Submerge in hot water for 15-20 minutes before use.

🔹 Experience flawless casting with PowerResins Burn 2 – precision, reliability, and no post-curing required.
